Wealthsimple Trade Updates
The Wealthsimple development team has been hard at work pushing updates to the Trade app since my initial review of their platform. These additions have made it a much more competitive business model among other enterants in the financial industry.
Road Map
The Wealthsimple team has finally released a publicly accessible “road map” which can be viewed on their Trade Help webpage. I placed road-map in quotations because it’s more of a list of requested features than anything else. They aren’t definitively saying that these requests will make the cut, but they’ve been slowly crossing-off a few. Some items on the list that caught my interest were the ability to buy fractional shares and the ability to accesses the platform from a desktop computer.
RRSP
One of the most requested registered account types has finally arrived. You can now trade Canadian and US stocks and ETF’s within an appropriate tax sheltered account. Allowing one to squeeze every penny of profit out of their portfolio.
